Collaborated with this Central Pennsylvania Pre-K through 12th independent school on a new admissions campaign including regional outdoor advertising in York, Hershey, Lancaster and Reading. The louvered billboards feature three different images and messages for student recruitment.

Whew. I’m finally getting caught up on blogging some of the higher ed projects from the fall season. It’s been super busy, and I’ve been on the road since mid-September. Here’s some images from three days of photography at Davidson College in North Carolina. This was the first time I took a Frisbee to the head in the line of duty… I realized that my first concern is to always protect the camera.

Last week, I photographed at IDEA Public Charter School in urban Washington, DC. It was a fun change-up that added variety to my fall admissions photography season. I was given complete creative freedom and turned loose to spend the day roaming the school. I found images that tell the story of students who are academically focused on achievement along and lots of engagement between students and teachers. The images will be used in a redesigned website built by DC design firm MillerCox.

It’s always fun to see what the designer will select of the 3500 images from a couple of days of photography. Teamed up with Jerry Takigawa of Takigawa Design to create new admissions material for this San Francisco Bay Area independent school. Collaborating with Jerry on the project was great, his design work has a symmetry and incredible sense of balance. The photography and design flow together into one cohesive piece. A good start to the season… images from Lancaster Country Day School in Lancaster, PA. The work will be used on billboards around the region, a direct mail campaign and the school website.
